Hi Apa kabar? O genki desu ka? Let me tell you a bit about myself in Bahasa and Nihon Go. Nama saya Glenda. Saya 25 tahun, tinggal di South Yarra. Nihongo de hanashimasho! Watashi wa Gurenda, ni ju sai desu, South Yarra ni sunde imasu. I'm a native Indo who loves learning foreign languages and cultures. I worked as a Japanese teacher at St kilda primary school, taught at an International school (IB-PYP) in Jakarta, taught Indonesian LOTE in East Malvern (IB-PYP) and taught ESL in Shanghai for a year. I am also a Business Studies tutor at Macleod College and an Indonesian teacher at CAE (Centre for Adult Education) in Flinders Lane. In a nutshell, I am well traveled and culturally aware! I Just graduated this year and am teaching Bahasa Indonesia part time in the city. Luckily, I just got my own car so I can drive to your place and tutor you on a regular basis. My teaching style is holistic and I acknowledge different learning styles (auditory/visual/kinesthetic) and will adjust my teaching method according to your learning style. Moreover, I won't only teach you about the language, but also the culture and trivia facts that most Aussies don't know about Indonesia or Japan. My students think I'm very patient and my lessons are engaging as I always try to incorporate other interdisciplinary dimensions and ICT in every lesson. I have experience in teaching adults, teens and young children (classroom setting in Jakarta, Melbourne and Shanghai). Yes, I can speak Mandarin, Japanese, Bahasa and other Indonesian dialects. I have working with children permit and references available for your perusal. The fee is roughly $40/hour, depending on your location. Oh let's talk about something less serious. I'm also a trivia buff as I go to trivia night every Thursday. I collect dictionaries and maps from all over the worlds; bake cakes/cookies every weekend, I play sudoku and do origami on the bus, and a professional Nintendo wii tennis player. I'm also very pedantic when it comes to spelling.
