I graduated from secondary school with an ATAR score of 97.75. Since then I have tutored a number of VCE students in English. Some of these have gone on to receive study scores above 45. As a communications graduate, I specialise in Media Analysis. Additionally, I can provide a simple understanding of ways to structure academic essays so that they are clear and concise.

I have worked as a youth leadership facilitator with students aged between 13-20 and strongly believe I believe that study is only effective if it is enjoyed. As a tutor, I try to raise the confidence of students by providing them with a safe space to ask deeper questions that may not arise in class. I will also make myself available over the phone for any questions outside of tutoring times. I also find that often a change of environment can encourage deeper study. I have facilitated groups in outdoor settings, including leading multi-day hikes and have seen first hand the mental benefits of even a brief encounter with nature. If the weather permits and students and parents are willing, I like to tutor outdoors. Aside from scholastics, I have also lived, travelled and volunteered overseas and believe I can bring a real world confidence to my students that isn't always communicated in the classroom environment.
