Education

I have an Honors Degree of Bachelor of Arts; Master of Teaching (Secondary Education); Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Secondary); and Master of Strategic Studies. While working on my undergraduate degree, I majored in International Relations and Ancient Civilizations and, for my Honors Degree, I majored in Australian National Politics and Strategic Studies. As part of teaching, I was chosen and I have completed a short online Harvard University course about 'Cultures of Learning'.

Experience

I currently tutor VCE Global Politics and I throughout my time teaching, I have taught Year 7-10 English; Year 7-10 Humanities; and second and third year politics at the University of Melbourne. While serving in the Australian Army, I mentored military personnel and recruits, which built my desire to teach. I strive to be instrumental and to be an influential role model for school students who are the future leaders of our society. My teaching philosophy is based on leadership, professionalism, initiative, collaboration and integrity, which I believe are fundamental for a child's well-being.

Hobbies

I play numerous sports, these include cricket, field hockey and golf. When the opportunity presents itself in winter, I go skiing. I like to keep active and challenge myself. I took up Mandarin as a second language when I was living in China in 2014. Finally, I think it is important to always have a love of learning, which is the foundation for growth and development.
