Hi! I'm Jaime, from Barcelona, and I just graduated from a Diploma of Graphic Design at CATC School of Design in Melbourne. I work as a barista and a graphic designer.

Experience

I have studied music theory and both classical and electric guitar for 14 years, during which I acquired knowledge in different music styles such as classic, rock, jazz and folk, amongst others. I was a main instructor in Tallers Musicals d'Avinyo, a series of famous jazz workshops in Barcelona, which run for 2 weeks each year. I am an experienced guitar teacher, having taught students with a wide range of proficiency from beginners to intermediate-level guitarists. I am able to provide references from past students if requested. ------ I am a native Spanish and Catalan speaker, having lived in Barcelona until I was 18. I am able to help with grammar, writing skills and conversation lessons at a VCE, IB and university level in both languages, especially focussing on detailed studies for the Spanish VCE oral examination. I am familiar with the course syllabus for VCE and university Spanish, and can provide tailored lessons suited to each students' skill level. Hobbies

In my spare time, I play indoor soccer and Futsal as part of a youth team. I love coffee, from tasting, to visiting coffee bean roasters, to creating latte art as a barista. I love playing the guitar, and I am part of a newly started up busking band called Pelegrin (find us on Facebook!), and I have played at medical charity events and cocktail functions. I am a friendly and very approachable person, and I hope to use these skills to pass my music and language knowledge onto my students.
