Education

I earned my certificate III Electrotechnology Systems Electrician as part of a completed Electrical apprenticeship through TAFE (Technical and Further Education) NSW. I then earned my Bachelor of Medical and Health Sciences with Distinction from the University of Wollongong where I earned a GPA of 6.82/ 7.00. I made the Dean's Merit List in 2011 and 2013 and was the First Place Student (DUX) in my third year of study. I then earned my Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne in 2018. I'm now a Medical Doctor at one of Melbourne's major hospitals.

Experience

During my time with the University of Wollongong, I was also a senior PASS leader for the sciences. The PASS program ran peer-led study sessions that focused on both knowledge and study skills, assisting students of all academic levels to achieve success at university. I developed and coordinated a Medical School Entry Pathways Mentoring Program at both the University of Wollongong and the University of Melbourne. I also helped students with GAMSAT preparation and interview coaching. I assisted more than 100 students with planning, preparing, and gaining entry into Medicine. I have eight years of experience in university teaching including Head Tutor and Head Demonstrator roles. A sampling of the courses I tutored includes Biomolecules and Cells, Chemistry 1 and 2, Principles of Human Structure, Human Locomotor Systems, Anatomy and Physiology, Human Growth Nutrition and Exercise, and Control Mechanisms Physiology. I have three years of research experience in analytical biochemistry/ chemistry and two years of experience in genetic cancer research. I provide both one-on-one and group tutoring sessions.

Hobbies

Outdoor adventures or playing sport is how I spend most of my spare day time hours. Growing up interstate has meant Victoria has a lot of new experiences to offer. When I want to relax I find myself trying to learn computer coding, researching new holiday destinations or making a quick trip back to Sydney for beachside catchups with friends and family ✌️.
