My teaching approach to mathematics and geography is to remove the jargon and explain concepts in a simple and coherent way. Often it is easy to get lost within mathematical concepts, symbols and words. However I aim to explain the concepts in striped-back, easy to understand examples. With geography, I am able to assist in both writing essays and reports, as well teaching the technical geographical skills (e.g. map reading, vertical exaggeration) necessary to complete the VCE Geography Course. I have had further previous tutoring experience through a program that helps Year 7 students help deal with the challenges of Senior School life. This includes both academic skills/advice and organisation assistance/study skills development. Besides this, I have had experience working with students as a volunteer at a local school for disadvantaged children, assisting with basic reading and writing skills.
