Education

I am a student at the University of Melbourne studying Accelerated Math 2, Physics 2: Advanced, Engineering Computation, and From Plato to Einstein.

Experience

I started tutoring in high school and have tutored one student in Further Maths continuously for two years. I have more than 100 hours of tutoring experience. Many of my students have made significant improvements. One student obtained 98% in her SAC. An 11th-year student increased his Further Math test score from 20% to 80% after two sessions with me. Although mathematics and physics have been criticized to be boring and confusing, I believe it is not true. My goal is to help my students to understand all the key areas thoroughly in an interesting way. In my tutoring session, I sometimes use stationaries to demonstrate simple physics ideas or bring some anecdotes to explain how and why certain mathematical techniques have been invented. I think it will help students to see how mathematics and physics are indeed simple tools that we use to understand our world. I provide notes, practice exam papers, and support.
