John L.
Private tutor in Melbourne, Australia
Education
I was awarded an academic scholarship for both high school and university. I completed my secondary education in Queensland with an ATAR equivalent of 98.50. My undergraduate degree was in Biomedical Science and I graduated with a GPA of 6.7. I am currently studying in the Doctor of Medicine course at Melbourne University.
Experience
The reason I tutor is because I love sharing the knowledge and experience I have on topics I am passionate about. I am well known by my friends as a friendly and enthusiastic individual and whether it be from helping you pass a subject or push you to reach top marks, I would be delighted to be the one who aids you in achieving your academic goals! I am currently an Immunology tutor at the University of Melbourne for first year medical students. Previously in my undergraduate degree, I tutored molecular biology, human physiology, organic chemistry, biochemistry, statistics and GAMSAT for university students. I scored within the top 2% in Australia for the GAMSAT and for my last two years during my Bachelor of Biomedical Science, attained high distinctions for all of my subjects. I have also worked as a piano teacher and a tennis coach in the past. As for other qualifications, I have a current Working With Childrens (WWC) check, National Police check, Senior First Aid and Mental Health for Youth First Aid certificates.

Hobbies
I love everything to do with music and I almost ended up enrolling at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music for music composition. To keep my musical side alive, I busk and volunteered at the Royal Melbourne Hospital's Music Therapy department. I am an avid tennis fan and enjoy catching up with friends over a warm cup of coffee.
