Education

I have completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine degree and a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology at the University of Melbourne.

Experience

I have 3 years of private tutoring experience in the areas of VCE Chinese SL and SLA. In addition to this, I also teach international high school students who struggle with English as their second language and help them improve their language skills as well as acquire a better understanding of Australian culture. I was awarded the 2014 VCE premier's award for Chinese Second Language Advanced and received full marks in VCE Psychology and Chinese Second Language Advanced. A student that I tutored last year for VCE Chinese Second Language received a raw mark of 41 for her VCE score. As I am around children a lot, I pride myself on being relatively good with kids and I believe that this would aid me in teaching younger students and helping them to build a strong foundation for their further education. Having gone through VCE and intensive university requirements, I understand the stress and pressures that Year 12 students experience and share my own experiences with them, in addition to how I structured my time for maximum study efficiency. Apart from teaching, I also mentor the students that I teach, regularly checking in on how they are coping psychologically. Additionally, I also have many resources and study materials that I have collated myself that I hope would aid my students in their studies. I firmly believe that a happy student learns best!

I am very passionate about greyhound rescue and would foster a greyhound every holidays from my greyhound rescue groups. I volunteer at church monthly in the worship band and also enjoy taking care of children every fortnight during church life groups at my house since i was 13.
