I have a bachelor's degree in German and English studies. I also have a Master's degree in German as a foreign language. Both of these degrees were earned in Germany.
Experience
I have taught German at a university in Melbourne since 2015/2016, teaching German 1-4. I have also held various positions in German universities, intensive summer university classes in Germany, private lessons, refugee classes, and more. During my studies, I have acquired a wide range of knowledge about grammar, culture, language learning processes, and methods of teaching as well as literature and assessment. German is my native language, but I do speak English very well as I have spent almost three years in English-speaking countries. I genuinely enjoy teaching German and helping learners to work through the sometimes tricky bits of the German language. I am patient and positive, and I have empathy for students. I love to explain concepts, and I can adapt my instruction to the goals of each student.

Hobbies
I enjoy the outdoors, walks/hiking, nature and wildlife. Australia has so much to offer in this regard. I also enjoy sports, especially Ultimate Frisbee, which is a great social team sport, with lots of respect for the opponent. So far I have travelled quite a bit. Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and every trip has made me part of the person I am today.
