Education

I finished VCE in 2004 with an ENTER score of 98.2. My subjects were art, psychology, international studies, history: revolutions, and English literature. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Development Studies from the University of Melbourne. I attended the University of San Diego as part of a student exchange with Provost's Honors. I earned my TEFL Qualification in 2017. In 2018 I started a Masters of Cultural Material Conservation at the University of Melbourne and have achieved a H1 (High distinction) in my minor thesis (12,000 words), a research piece on climate change and responses to the risks and challenges in the heritage fields in Australia. I am currently completing my final semester, due to graduate mid year.

Experience

I have two years of experience tutoring in Berlin as an ESL tutor for teenage students of migrant backgrounds. I helped them with English conversation, homework, and study skills. I have volunteered as a tutor for newly arrived migrants to Australia. I also have worked tutoring casually in Melbourne for high school students, mostly in English and Literature. I really enjoyed my experience tutoring. I have always achieved academically, and I have a great interest in education. I can provide personalized instruction that is tailored to the goals, learning styles, and needs of each student.

My hobbies are generally quiet activities such as art making - I have recently become a print maker and have run some workshops on lino carving and printing, as well as doing posters, promotional material and large scale event art. I enjoy gardening, reading, and home crafts such as pickling and preserving foods. My interests are generally in community and political events.
