Education

In 2016, I completed the International Baccalaureate. I am currently undertaking a double degree in Biomedicine and Science at Monash University, and have achieved straight high distinctions to date. I intend to study a Doctor of Medicine in the future.

Experience

I achieved an IB score of 41, translating to an ATAR of 98.90. My subjects included Psychology HL (7), Biology HL (7), English Literature HL (6), Mathematics SL (6), Chemistry SL (6), and Japanese SL (6). I also achieved 3 bonus marks and full marks (36/36) in my Psychology Extended Essay. I began tutoring IB Biology HL in 2017, and was previously a mentor for a high achievers program of younger secondary school students at my school. I enjoyed challenging them, whilst at the same time imparting knowledge. My experience of IB taught me much about utilising my strengths and maximising my study time. The importance of hard work over relying on intelligence alone also became evident. In this regard, I believe I have a lot to offer students currently studying IB. I have gone on to study Biomedicine and Science at University, and I am enjoying learning and furthering my knowledge. The keen interest I have in my subject areas is something I would like to share with students.

Hobbies

In year 12 I was a part of the student leadership committee, being awarded the role of House Prefect. I was also involved in various sporting activities, including Rowing for the Firsts team and Cross country running. I have been involved in numerous school musicals, and my hobbies include snow skiing, running/exercise and volunteering. I have a strong passion for travel, being fortunate enough to travel extensively personally and for school. I enjoy immersing myself in other cultures. I was fortunate enough to volunteer during the Syrian refugee crisis whilst in Turkey in 2015, and have a passion for human rights. I intend to further my volunteering experiences, both in Australia and abroad.
