Education

I have a bachelor's degree in applied science for secondary education from Victoria University and a master's degree in teaching from Monash University.

Experience

Having taught in both the public and private sectors, I am also a qualified health and physical education teacher. I am friendly and motivated, and constantly encouraging and challenging my students to achieve their academic best in English. Teaching is one of my favorite things to do. It allows me to have a direct impact on not just the knowledge my students take on, but to also influence their perspective on learning. One-on-one tutoring lets me manage lessons on their level. I can move at the student's pace and answer any questions in the process. If a different way to explain a concept is needed, I can discuss it from another angle or include new learning aids in the lesson. I won't stop until the student is confident and has reached a short-term or long-term milestone. I have also had poetry published in university arts journals.
