I have almost 4 years of experience working as a Mathematical Methods (CAS) and Specialist Mathematics tutor for students in Year 11 and Year 12. In addition to this, I designed and delivered tutorials to students as a subject tutor for Mathematical Methods (CAS) in the 2015 and 2016 VCE Summer School (VCESS) run by the University of Melbourne Student Union (UMSU). Some of the grades I have obtained for subjects include 97 for NEUR30002 Neurophysiology: Neurons and Circuits, 92 for ANAT30008 Viscera and Visceral Systems, 92 for MIIM30001 Medical Microbiology: Bacteriology, 90 for MIIM 30014 Medical Microbiology: Virology, 91 for MIIM20002 Microbes, Infections and Responses, 98 for MAST10011 Experimental Design and Data Analysis, and 99 for MAST10013 UMEP Maths for High Achieving Students. In 2014, I was awarded the Australian Student Prize awarded to the top 500 students in Australia from the Department of Education, and in 2013 the University of Melbourne Extension Program Prize for Academic Excellence in Mathematics awarded to the top student in MAST10013 UMEP Maths for High Achieving Students. In addition to this, in 2013 I won the Premier's VCE Award for Mathematical Methods (CAS), and the Monash University Prize for Academic Excellence awarded to the top year 11 student at Melbourne Grammar School. Finally, in 2011 I was a Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholar at the University of Melbourne. I am offering tuition in neuroscience, anatomy, microbiology, immunology, and mathematics.

Hobbies

My interests outside of medicine are wide and varied, and include: • Biomedical research: Previously, I have worked in the Cancer and Haematology Division at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute (WEHI) on a Metcalf Scholarship, investigating the transcriptional regulation of a pro-apoptotic protein called Bim in multiple myeloma cells, and in the Immunology Department at the Peter Doherty Institute as part of the Keyes-Pearce Laboratory Experience Award, investigating a family of type 1 transmembrane glycoproteins expressed on the surface of natural killer (NK) cells called killer-cell immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIRs). • Public health: I currently serve as Co-Founder and President of the Australian Cancer and Health Sciences Competition (ACHSC), Victoria's first cancer competition for high school students. Previously, I have served as Vice President (Internal) of the Melbourne University Health Initiative (MUHI), a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve health outcomes both locally and abroad. I also work as a consultant at 180 Degrees Consulting, providing pro bono consulting to other health initiatives. • Advocacy: I currently serve as Secretary of the International Students' Network (ISN), the peak representative body for international students studying medicine in Australia. Previously, I have completed a tenure as Junior Australian Medical Students' Association (AMSA) Representative of the University of Melbourne Medical Students' Society (UMMSS), representing all Melbourne medical students at AMSA National Council, and Melbourne Medical School Student Ambassador, representing the Melbourne Medical School to external stakeholders at university-run events. • Other: In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano, watching Korean dramas, and listening to Russian operatic pop.
