I have a master's degree with first-class honors in history and a Ph.D. in Latin from the University of Melbourne. I also have a current VIT registration.

I have expert knowledge in Latin, studying the subject at school and in college for more than 10 years, and have taught and tutored it from year 7 to VCE at Melbourne Grammar School and Xavier College. During that time, I taught or tutored some of the highest-performing VCE students in the state. Now, I tutor Latin at any level, from beginners to advanced learners. I have recently published a critical edition and translation of the sixteenth-century Spanish humanist J. L. Vives' principal treatise on rhetoric, De ratione dicendi (1533). This has appeared as Volume 11 in E. J. Brill's Selected Works of J. L. Vives. E. J. Brill is one of the world's leading academic publishers.
