Education

I received my Bachelor of Photonics and Nanoscience with First Class Honours. I also have my Ph.D. in Quantum Optics. I was a research scientist at EMU Quantum. I've had six peer-reviewed publications in highly regarded journals, including Nature Communications, Science Advances, and Physical Review Letters. My research topics include quantum information, quantum cryptography, quantum computation, quantum communication, quantum physics, entanglement.

Experience

I offer tutoring in high school maths and physics. I can also teach university maths including differential equations, integration, Fourier series, complex analysis, linear algebra, group theory, statistics, matrices, tensor calculus, etc. Or, if you want I can teach you University Physics including Newtonian and Hamiltonian physics, semi-classical physics, statistical mechanics, optics, electromagnetism, and solid state physics. We can also cover materials science, atomic and nuclear physics, general and special relativity, basic and advanced quantum theory, and quantum electrodynamics. Other areas that I can teach include commercial design, project management, research and development. I also worked as an optical engineer at Agilent Technologies Inc (1 year), where I designed optical emission spectrometers.

Hobbies

I love science, and do my best to explain complex ideas in simple ways. I am very patient, and I like to draw lots of diagrams. You can even see some videos of me teaching/presenting on Youtube! (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKcK9SEicWE) I love travel, and tutoring helps me to do that. I enjoy yoga, meditation, reading, drawing and painting, staying active and the outdoors. I am always smiling and enjoy meeting new people! I teach out of a community hub in Ferntree Gully, called the Institute of Future Technologies and Innovation (http://ifti.net.au/) ... we even have an organic garden if you are into that kind of thing! :) Have a happy day, look forward to chatting!
