I earned my undergraduate degree in languages with a focus on Japanese language and culture and my graduate degree in secondary education from Monash University.
Experience
I'm a Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registered instructor and member of the Secretary of the Japanese Language Teachers' Association of Victoria (JLTAV). I am currently a professional teacher of Japanese with five years of teaching experience in both primary and secondary settings. Additionally, I have experience teaching prep through grade twelve and have tutored children through to adults, focusing on students in VCE and university. My goal in tutoring is the same as in teaching, I wish to assist my students in their learning and help them grow in the language! Whether you're a beginner and wanting to pick up a new language, already studying and need a bit of assistance or need to be challenged, or you learned Japanese before and want to pick it up again, I can help you! Each lesson is unique for the individual learner, so it's up to you what you would like to focus on and how you would like to learn. I ensure that the learning environment is always fun, challenging, and well paced for each student.

Being an Indonesian background speaker, and having chosen to learn Japanese and Korean, I know the difficulties learners encounter when learning a new language and strategies to overcome these obstacles.
