Private tutor in Melbourne, Australia

Education

I started my architectural studies by obtaining a Diploma in Architecture at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. I furthered my studies with a Bachelor of Environments in Architecture at the University of Melbourne and then completed my Master of Architecture at the same institution. I achieved a PTE score of 87.

Experience

Currently, I am architectural graduate, while constantly handling the office management role, whilst working directly under the Director at Jackson Architecture. I am well versed in digital skills and visual communication. I like to think of tutoring sessions as a chance for me to polish my skills whilst sharing what I have learned so far to help students who are having trouble. I can help with the design process, 3D visualization, understanding design briefs, design execution, and software technicalities, as well as presentation skills, verbally and graphically. I can share some tricks and tips on how to survive architecture school, shortcuts, project workflow, and provide the necessary help to produce better designs.

Hobbies

I like to share my experience, and meet new people. I believe this is the best way to learn. The more we interact and communicate with people, the more we learn from each other. This is why I started tutoring. Working in the industry has taught me to constantly learn from the new, whilst engaging with the present. I often find my peers who lack of verbal presentation confidence do not deserve the credits that they worked hard for due to their language ability. It is really unfair sometimes because the presentation does not always represent the hard work they have poured in. This is also another reason why I want to help. In general, I enjoy good design, good chat, photography, tidying and organising things, good food, and travelling. I speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.
