I used to teach my fellow students in college. I believe that if I know something, I should share that knowledge, and I think teaching could be the best way for me to do so. I am also happy to say that most of my students have done well as a result of studying with me. I am a certified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and I have both my Certificate IV and my Diploma in Human Resources. Accounting is the subject that I tutor. One of the concepts we can go over is the accounting period. An accounting period is the length of time that a particular financial document covers. Because shareholders and other individuals want to analyze the performance of a company over different periods of time, you are going to have various accounting periods. Regulatory requirements have publicly traded companies reporting to the SEC on a quarterly basis, so you are going to have four accounting periods in any fiscal year.
