Education
I have completed both a Bachelor of Biomedicine degree and a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Neuroscience, at the University of Melbourne. I achieved First Class honors in 2017, graduating with a GPA of 6.72 whilst also completing my second year of Medicine at James Cook University.
Experience
I am an experienced GAMSAT and medical entry tutor and can provide tutoring for medical interviews, portfolio applications, and every section of the GAMSAT. I am more than qualified to provide this service given my extensive experience applying for medical degree programs in Australia. I applied and was accepted into James Cook University's Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree in 2017. As well as then applying and being accepted into the Doctor of Medicine at Deakin University in 2018. As a result, I understand what medical schools are looking for to a degree not privy to most individuals. I have sat the GAMSAT numerous times, improving more than 28 overall, which has made me such an effective tutor. I understand what this psychometric exam requires in a way that most others do not. I didn't do the GAMSAT once, get a good score and then think I am a master, nor did I do a prep course once and just regurgitate their teachings. I have tried most of the GAMSAT courses and even work for one of the big GAMSAT companies. As a result, I have worked with hundreds of students and have been able to see first-hand what works and what doesn't, both myself and with other students. I bring this experience to my students to ensure that the time we spend in our tutoring sessions and the material we cover is only high yield content so that improvement can be seen immediately. I have improved all of my students' overall marks in the GAMSAT, with many achieving marks of 80 and up in section 2 and section 3 after previously achieving marks of less than 60. In addition, I also have expertise beyond the GAMSAT, I am also an experienced interview, portfolio, and medical application tutor. All of my private interview students have gotten into a medical program for a range of universities including Melbourne University, Deakin, Macquarie, and James Cook University. I believe this is strictly because of my personalized and comprehensive approach, and the fact that I have a vested interest for all of my students to get into medicine, as I have been in the same position myself. All in all, I understand how sitting the GAMSAT or your medical interview can be a costly endeavor. I wish to be a reprieve from the big GAMSAT companies; you shouldn't have to be wealthy to get GAMSAT tutoring, nor to study for the GAMSAT. I aim to bring all my knowledge and experience so that you can get the professional private tuition that every student deserves at an affordable price.
