Experience
Many parents have difficulty with, or are unable to help their own children with mathematics homework. Maths should be fun, but is often very daunting. I use a combination of curriculum pegged content and creative worksheets to help students become comfortable with doing maths. It is especially important that students learn and understand the fundamental mathematics concepts. Often difficulties at higher year levels can be traced back to failing to know their times tables, or an inability to perform simple addition/subtraction equations in their head. I focus on cementing those building blocks to enable students to build a solid numeracy foundation for their future learning.

Hobbies
I've had a varied career which has included business consultation, financial reporting, copy-writing, education and mentoring. Australian born, of European descent, I am a father to 3 children aged between 8-11. Native English speaker. I am an unashamed geek and love using technology where possible. Where appropriate I will recommend websites or apps that may assist with your child's learning. I come highly recommended by students and parents that I have worked with, but I am new to this platform.
