Education

I earned a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham in the UK in 2011 and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Bioenergetics from the University of Cambridge in 2017.

Experience

I'm a postdoctoral researcher in biochemistry. I have two years of experience teaching both biology and chemistry from secondary school to the undergraduate level. The hardest part of teaching chemistry is bringing the complex down to a level that students can grasp. Chemistry is mostly about learning skills, not facts! To successfully teach chemistry, I use a mixture of lecturing, visual aids, demonstrations, and hands-on activities whenever I can. I am also comfortable teaching undergraduate science topics such as genetics, organic chem, microbiology, and genetic engineering, so don't think I'm limited to just chemistry! I can also help you prepare for high-stakes examinations such as MCAT Biological Sciences, the GRE Subject Test in Biology, AP Chemistry, and the GRE Subject Test in Biochemistry.
