I am a first-year student at the University of Melbourne, where I am studying for my Master of Construction Management.

Experience

I tutored students in summer school while studying in China. I believe younger students learn best through play and hands-on activities. I can engage them through games and other fun activities as they build their knowledge and skills. I tutor students in Mandarin Chinese, as well as first and second-grade math topics. My approach to each session depends on my individual students. I tailor our activities to appeal to their interests, strengths, weaknesses, and other qualities that can lead to more effective absorption of the material. As they play, I provide reactions to their ideas and guidance as they work to build their numeracy literacy and other fundamental mathematical skills. If they are learning a new language, we can incorporate songs, books, and other engaging activities to expand on their vocabulary, pronunciation, and more.
