I have been training, tutoring and mentoring young business professionals for the past five years and have developed a style that is supportive and fun for all confidence levels. My experience as a leader in the retail and consulting industries have allowed me the opportunity to mentor a diverse range of talent, and I know how to bring out the best in you. Tutoring is my passion, and I understand the financial hardship that comes with student life, so I keep my rates as affordable as possible. My teaching style relies on three promises: - I will make an effort to understand you and your needs: Not everyone learns the same way and not everyone knows the best way that they learn. But, with the right coach, you can identify your capabilities and set yourself up for success in your academic career. - I will actively listen to what you say and adjust my communication style accordingly: Have you ever been sitting in front of a teacher and they are explaining something to you, and all you can think is "I do not understand a word this person is saying"? Well, not with me. I am very patient, and we will work through at the pace we need to work through. I will give you as many different metaphors and analogies as you need (I produce them rapidly, and they are often cheesy) and I will break down the information into smaller, more easily digestible pieces. - I will be patient, empathetic and supportive: Studying is hard! It doesn't help when you also don't believe that you can achieve success. I have been a university student for seven years, and I know that feeling all too well. With my positive reinforcement techniques and background in psychology, I will help you to process the stress that accompanies study and help you to define what success means for you!
