I am currently working as a doctor, having completed a Doctor of Medicine at Monash University. I was an Honours student with a H1 average.
Experience
From VCE English, French, Biology and Maths to GAMSAT and medicine interview training, I've had over 10 years tutoring experience. Over this time I've developed various strategies and processes to ensure I provide all my students with the best opportunities to succeed. I take confidence in the results my students receive at the end of the year, frequently reaching the top marks for the state. My focus has always been on concept application and providing students with the in-depth understanding to complement the rote learning often expected at university. I teach my students techniques which help them develop a winning strategy to acing exams. It goes without saying that I tailor my tutoring style to my student's demands, and supplement my sessions with practice materials and notes to reinforce new concepts. My specialty is medical interview training. I have extensive personal experience both sitting and preparing candidates for MMI and panel interviews at all GEMSAS and international Medical School programs. Believe it or not - once you have reached this stage, the preparation is very simple and formulaic. We need to understand all major question types and how to master responses to each type - no matter what you get thrown on the day. Together we can workshop your answers to show the interviewers the best and most deserving you! I am extremely proud to say that I have a 100% success rate with getting my students into their preferred university (over 8 years now!) With this in mind, I usually am fully-booked early into preparation season (and only take on a small cohort each year.) It's important that we both feel comfortable to workshop answers, and be honest, and if I don't think I am the right tutor for you- I will happily help link you up with suggestions for alternatives.

In my spare time I'm an avid reader, and always on the lookout for new book recommendations if you have one to share! I also like to keep myself busy with morning runs, podcasts and plenty of coffee. I'm a passionate advocate for finding balance in your life- and have always had multiple extra-curriculars, jobs and volunteer roles alongside my studies - and would love to work with you to develop strategies to be more effective with your time too.
