Private tutor in Melbourne, Australia
Education
I received an ATAR of 99.65 in 2013. In 2018 completed a Bachelor of Arts (History/Literature) and Bachelor of Music (Performance) with First Class Honours from Monash University. During this time I also spent a semester abroad at Uppsala University in Sweden, where I took courses in Media Studies, Development Studies, and Peace and Conflict Studies. In 2018 I was selected as the Oceania Regional Winner for Literature in the Global Undergraduate Awards, placing my essay among eight global finalists. In 2019 I completed an Honours year in Musicology at Monash's Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, earning a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 94. I have since been awarded a William Barclay Squire Graduate Studentship to undertake a Master of Philosophy in Music at the University of Cambridge.
Experience
I have tutored students for 3 years to great success. I've also acted as a Compass Mentor at Monash University's Centre for Undergraduate Research Initiatives and Excellence. I'm looking for enthusiastic students to work with as an essay tutor, editor, and proofreader. I will begin graduate studies at the University of Cambridge in October 2020, and I am working as an Essay Marking Assistant in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University. I offer expertise in all forms of essay writing in the Arts and Humanities, both short and extended. Throughout my university studies I have experienced great success as an essay writer, and I would be thrilled by the opportunity to share some of the tips and tricks I have learned with you. In my feedback I focus on the key ingredients that combine to form a high-scoring essay: a cohesive and nuanced argument with convincing use of evidence, logical structure, succinct prose, and neat presentation. I am happy to review and provide feedback on essays online, and/or to discuss this feedback over Skype. Alternatively, I am willing to meet you in person, for a little more. Whichever your preference, I would be delighted to offer a friendly, professional, and comprehensive service in a safe, supportive space.

Hobbies
I love to read anything and everything, from Tolstoy to Shakespeare to African-American writers such as Coates. I am passionate about the Arts and Culture sector and I am a committed musician, with a background in Clarinet performance. I am interested in political discourse, both national and international, and in my research and teaching I consistently strive to think laterally in order to make new, exciting connections. I encourage students to derive meaning from their work by understanding it in broad contexts, and to develop a sense of interdisciplinary in their thinking.
