Education
Bachelor of Arts, Linguistics Latrobe University Linguistics and Translation Studies at UCSC Milan, Italy, Accepted into a Master's Degree in Teaching with a focus on Japanese and ESL from the University of Melbourne. I was VCE Japanese State Top Scorer (51) and completed the JSH Teacher Training Program in 2003, as well as the Cambridge CELTA in 2003. I speak Japanese, English, Spanish Italian and French. I have been a teacher of both private and group lessons for children and adults at Japan Seminar House Inc. from 2004. I was also a proctor for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test since 2001 in Melbourne.
Experience
I am offering private one-on-one as well as group Japanese tutoring in the Melbourne CBD and surrounding suburbs. I am comfortable working with students at all levels of learning and abilities, from children to adults. I have more than 10 years of experience working as a tutor and am a qualified bilingual native speaker. I have worked as a Japanese tutor at a language services center since 2011, prior to which I worked as a Japanese tutor and teacher at Japan Seminar house for over 10 years. I can provide tutoring sessions to students in primary and secondary school and VCE students. I can also provide university-level Japanese tutoring, in addition to business Japanese, and adult conversation sessions. My courses cover reading, writing, grammar, Kanji, conversation, listening, as well as an introduction to Japanese Arts and Culture. Over and above all of this I can also assist with VCE oral and written exam preparation, essay writing skills, JLPT preparation, translation, and editing services.
