Experience
I have been running my own tutoring business for the past 12 months, and am looking to expand it further. Previous to that, I worked as a private tutor for Smarts Home Tutoring, between 2008 and 2012. Throughout both of these positions, I have tutored in a variety of subjects, ranging from basic literacy and numeracy through to VCE Biology, Chemistry and Maths subjects, as well as university-level Maths and Sciences. I have also tutored to a broad range of students, including disadvantaged students not enrolled in traditional schooling, mature aged students returning to study and students with various learning difficulties. In addition, I did some private tutoring whilst studying at university, and demonstrated practical classes for a number of different subjects, including Biology, Microbiology, Microorganims and Disease, Microbial Genetics and Molecular Biology. I enjoy tutoring, as it provides me with constant and varying challenges, which continually keep me on my toes. At the same time however; I find it a very rewarding vocation and I enjoy helping students broaden their understanding of the subjects they are studying.
