Experience

I have tutored chemistry, methods, English, further maths, and specialist math for the last 10 years. I have had experience in private, one-on-one settings and group settings alike. I aim to tailor lesson plans to the student's specific needs, as there are many ways to engage with a topic. Many of my students have achieved the goals they have set through a personalized approach to learning. As an experienced tutor of more than nine years, and an ATAR of 99.75 in 2010, I understand the stress that can come about from the pressure-cooker that is VCE. Many students crash and burn throughout the year as the workload and pressure mount to monstrous levels. I aim to alleviate this stress by making sure that concepts and ideas are fully grasped. I offer tutoring services for chemistry and all types of math. I can also tutor English, depending on the school's chosen novels. I have a collection of past exams collated from a wide variety of sources which will help prepare students for the VCE exams. Many of the subjects have cumulative content in nature, and students can fall behind very quickly if they don't understand one part of the curriculum. Through an integrated method of textbook and exam questions, I aim to communicate these concepts as concisely and as real-world as possible.

I try my best to make sessions fun (or at least not superbly boring), because otherwise I'll get bored myself!
