Education

Bachelor of Arts as a participant in the Dean's Scholars Program - Monash University (2010-2013) -- Double major in Spanish and Indonesian with a minor in Asian Studies. La Universidad Autónoma de Madrid - Madrid, Spain (2012/2013) -- Translation studies and Spanish as a foreign language. Universitas Gadjah Mada - Yogyakarta, Indonesia (2012) -- Indonesian for Special Purposes. Media-focussed intensive study program.

Experience

I am a recent Monash graduate with a love of language and learning and I love being able to share this passion with other students while helping them to achieve their desired results. I obtained an ATAR score of 99.55 upon graduating high school with excellent scores over a wide range of subjects covering humanities, maths and science. I was awarded Dux of the South West Region of Victoria for 2009 and the Overall Academic Youth Achiever of Warrnambool for 2009. I have maintained excellent results throughout my degree and enjoy helping other students achieve the same while also fostering a love of language and communication. In my opinion, it is impossible to truly excel without passion for what you are studying and the ability to approach schoolwork and study with a positive outlook. If this sounds like an approach that could help you, feel free to contact me.

Hobbies

My main interest is languages; I have been studying Indonesian since early education and Spanish since I began university. I'm also extremely passionate about travel having just returned from 8 months in Europe. Now, having studied in both Spain and Indonesia and completed my degree, I am taking a break before beginning Honours in 2014 and am spending my spare time teaching myself French (or trying), rediscovering the amazing city of Melbourne and planning my next travels. I love listening to all kinds of music, watching terrible reality TV shows, relaxing with my housemates and reading - currently I'm reading The Hobbit so that I can finally watch the movie! I also volunteer at the Melbourne Museum which I really enjoy.
