I have a Master of Arts in Teaching, Foreign Language Education (Spanish) from the University of Pittsburgh. While attending Duquesne University, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Corporate Communications.
Experience
I am an EAL/ESL/ELL/Spanish language tutor and have helped students at all ages and levels, in individual and group settings. A grade 9-12 Spanish teacher, I develop and implement personalized plans of study and specialize in language immersion, academic support and enrichment, conversation practice, business English, and exam preparation (Cambridge First, Advanced, and Proficiency; TOEFL). I can adapt lesson plans and assessments to a wide range of student needs and interests. As an English Language and Culture Assistant in Spain, I taught English to students in grades 9 and 10 and to adults. I also volunteered to help students with special needs. I planned and implemented bilingual lessons in science and arts and crafts alongside the lead teacher and led workshops on bilingual education for faculty and administration. In the United States, I worked as a Spanish tutor for students at varying levels of proficiency, focusing on verbal and written language skills development. I have provided assistance with literary analysis and composition and, for those students who excelled, suggested appropriate resources for linguistic enrichment.

Hobbies
I'm an enthusiastic, life-long learner and lover of languages. I believe all languages are beuatiful, special, and fascinating and love sharing this passion with my students. When I'm not teaching, my hobbies include travelling, reading, hiking, cooking, yoga, and spending time with friends. I also love singing and doing crafts.
