Experience
2010-2012 full time Chinese teacher at Catholic schools, Reception-Year 12 (SACE &VCE) In my role I construct and adjust the Chinese language curriculum to ensure it aligns with the school context and meets students’ learning needs and styles. To deepen students’ understanding and knowledge, I provide differentiated Chinese language programs to fulfil the diverse levels and needs of background and non-background learners with achievable learning goals. I create teaching resources and use a range of teaching practices to engage students in effective learning. I incorporate ICTs, literacy and numeracy in order to provide cross-curriculum links. For Yr12 students, I mainly assisted them in improving their skills and ability to get better result in examinations. 2008- 2010 Adelaide Maths& Chinese Tutor As a Tutor, I provided one to one lessons to a range of students aging from 5 to 26. I initiated programmes to help students improve their particular ability in the target subject. I taught students how to learn by taking them beyond rote learning. I offer practice exams specially designed to familiarise students with the format of Naplan and Selective Entrance exams. For adult students, I empowered them through speaking and reading skills development.
