I finished VCE in 2009, achieving an ENTER (ATAR) score of 97.95, scoring raw scores of 40 (46 scaled) for Maths Methods, 40 (45 scaled) for Physics, and 38 (45 scaled) for Specialist Maths. I have just finished a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Melbourne majoring in Mechanical Engineering and am pursuing a master's in the same subject.
Experience
I've now been tutoring for seven years and have had many students from grade 5 to year 12 of all ability levels. I really enjoy tutoring and think I'm quite good at it. I hope to build each student's confidence and hopefully get them to enjoy maths more. I try to tailor sessions to each student's specific needs, but I generally try to do three things in each session. First, I'll teach the material in different ways to deepen your understanding of it. Second, I'll ask you if you have any questions about your current coursework and address them as necessary. Third, I'll write sample questions so that you can practice applying key concepts.
