I have taught at all levels - Primary to University and I specialise in improving reading and writing skills, especially essay writing and exam preparation. I have a proven track record and great references. For the past 8 years I worked both in New York and Melbourne. As a consultant on contract to the NYC Dept of Education, I coached English Language Arts teachers and advised Admin teams in whole school change. Now settled in Melbourne I have a successful tutoring company, working one-one with Primary, Middle School, EAL, VCE and Undergraduate - PhD students in essay/thesis writing. I also specialise in preparing VCE English and Psychology students for SACs and Year 12 exams. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring one-one and small groups of English language learners in conversational English and to prepare for IELTS and future employment. My fee is adjusted according to number of students in the group. Over the past few years I have worked online and via FaceTime or Skype with students from interstate and abroad. While living in California, USA I tutored Masters and PhD students from Stanford University, as well as teaching conversational english to expat business executives. University students often require assistance with essay structure, editing, referencing and presentation prior to submission. I work long-term with them to successfully complete their degrees. As a curriculum developer I have a thorough working knowledge of VELS for English, Psychology and Social Sciences. I can quickly identify student needs and flexible in my approach to maximise their potential. I tutor 6 days per week, day and evenings, from my home in Seddon. I have a full range of resources available. My fee is $80 -110/hr, adjusted according to group size and level of instruction. Fee for private lessons for EAL and conversational English is $85/hr, $80/hr Primary, $85-$100 for Secondary, and $110/hr for University students.
