Education
I earned a bachelor's in Biological Science with a specialization in Molecular and Cell Biology from the National University of Singapore and a master's in Forensic Science with a specialization in DNA and Biological Studies from the University of Western Australia. I've also obtained Merit for ABRSM Grade 8 Piano in both Practical and Theory and earned an overall score of 8.5/9 on my IELTS.
Experience
I had been a private tutor for the past seven years. I have full knowledge of the syllabus requirements for the following courses: Year 9 - Year 12 Biology, Maths, and Chemistry. As I am a Singaporean Chinese, I would also be glad to tutor basic Chinese reading and writing for students of any age. In Singapore, I have taught music (Piano) to students from Grade 1 to 8, and have prepared them for the ABRSM exams each year. I have always enjoyed sharing knowledge and what I know to the younger generations; not just on how to be well prepared for examinations, but also how to be ready when they start to work. I believe in working and studying smart so that we can be more efficient in acquiring various information. I have been a student, so I understand how difficult it is to understand certain concepts in school. I strive to use simple analogies to explain complex concepts, and it has worked for students I taught previously.
