I am fascinated by all elements of language - from grammatical structure to the quirks of everyday usage and the role of language in culture - and I adapt my teaching to suit the personal objectives, needs and interests of my students. I have experienced the excitement of being able to communicate in a language that is not your own, and I find it enormously rewarding to help students feel confident in a second language! I enjoy travelling, bushwalking, theatre, and literature, and have also studied law and international relations.
