Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Anthropology) Honours in Psychology I completed both at the competitive University of Melbourne, with a WAM of 85.
Experience
I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) in 2014, receiving a score of 44/45 (ATAR equivalent 99.85). I achieved first place in my year for English Higher Level and Route 1 History Higher Level, two years in a row. I was in the top 3 percent and placed on the Dean's Honors List and First-Class Honours in Psychology (2015-2017. I also achieved First-Class Honours in my Honours in Psychology. I have ten years of tutoring experience, both privately and as an academic tutor at the University of Melbourne, where I teach third year clinical psychology. I also have experience working as a research assistant at the University of Melbourne, and in various roles within the mental health industry, including at Orygen and headspace. I am passionate about youth mental health and supporting young people (and people of all ages) through teaching. My favourite parts of teaching are supporting students to understand difficult concepts, helping students improve their academic writing skills, and sharing my passion for psychology and writing. I love helping students learn and helping them improve. I tailor material to the individual needs of my students. By focusing on specific problem areas, I can help spark interest and engage students in learning. I have experience teaching students who were already achieving top grades, which I helped them to maintain and improve further, as well as students who were struggling who I helped reach their goals and achieve success. I can support students to: - Develop excellent essay writing skills. - Develop excellent scientific writing skills (lab reports, APA formatting, writing about statistics). - Learn difficult content. I am currently working remotely.
