Education | Music | Languages I am a musician and a linguist dedicated to using arts and culture for social change. My story: I have been teaching guitar and music theory at my own rock school - Leaders of Rock - for nearly one and a half years. Reaching up to 10 clients, I conduct both one-on-one guitar lessons, as well as group workshops in the holidays exploring decades in rock music history. I can teach all ages, but am well versed in teaching primary and secondary students. www.leadersofrock.com For VCE Music: Solo Performance, I specialised in jazz and blues guitar, and toured interstate with the St Kevins College Stage Band to perform. I was the Dux of Music for 2010, with a score of 36, and teachers commented on my excellent knowledge of theory, in particular, modes and scales. I was inspired to go to Seattle, WA (USA) to study music for a brief period of time in 2011, and learned more about song-writing at Cornish College of the Arts. Since then, I have settled in Melbourne and am currently in two bands, one hard rock/metal band and one worship band. My undergraduate degrees in International Studies and Languages informed me that education is the key to effective capacity building. I tailored my degree towards Asian development, and volunteered my time both as a Chinese Language Mentor in RMIT, and an English Teaching Assistant in Hangzhou, China.
