Education

After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, and Stochastic Processes from the University of Melbourne, I pursued a Master's in Information Technology at Charles Sturt University, completing it with High Distinction. Fuelled by a passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential, I embarked on a tutoring career in 2018.

Experience

I believe that the best tutors don’t just help students with their homework; they teach them how to learn on their own. My goal is to make a lasting difference in my students' lives by teaching them not just the course material, but also the keys to success and achievement. In my twelve years of tutoring, I’ve noticed that many students work hard but still struggle because they don’t know what to focus on. My job is to give them clear guidance to use their effort more effectively. I create my own course notes and use modified questions from VCE exams for each topic I teach. This helps students see that they can do well in VCE Maths exams. I have a deep understanding of mathematics thanks to my university degree in the subject. This allows me to explain things in a way that other tutors might not be able to. I help students see how different parts of maths connect, making it easier for them to understand and remember.

Hobbies

I have a strong faith in God and believe in the power of giving. Sundays are special to me as I spend them at church, helping with the service and worshiping. As an active member of the Melbourne University Mathematics & Statistics Society, I love planning events about Maths and careers. These events are fun, educational, and give students insights into job opportunities and the Maths industry. Outside of running my own business, I volunteer a lot and attend social and networking events. I also enjoy reading the Bible and books on personal development. For private tutoring, I charge $45 per hour.
