Education
I completed VCE in 1992 before going on to complete a Bachelor of Arts majoring in History and a Bachelor of Science honors majoring in Chemistry and Botany at Monash University. I have also completed a Master of Science degree majoring in Biotechnology from the Swinburne University of Technology.
Experience
I have 6 years of experience teaching biotechnology subjects at university and 9 years of experience working in science, specifically on the synthesis of pro-drug candidates. I hold a Victorian Working with Children card and I have a very broad level of general knowledge. My passion is to inspire and instill a love of learning in my students and not just help them to pass exams. Students will cope best in today's society if they are able to learn information themselves. I can also provide advice and tips on how to study effectively, and how to use your time effectively. If you have tried tutoring and did not get the help you needed or the results you wanted with previous tutors, don't be discouraged, I am different. I specialize in reviewing assignments and homework tasks. I will read the student's work and provide helpful feedback. I will also provide worked examples for mathematical-type questions so that the student understands how the answer is obtained.
