Education
After achieving a perfect score in the IB in 2015, I studied in the Chancellor's Scholars Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Melbourne, majoring in History and with a concurrent diploma in French. I achieved First Class Honours in both my degree and diploma. In 2019 I achieved my Honours Degree in History, also at the University of Melbourne. I received First Class Honours. I have been accepted to complete a Masters of History at The University of Edinburgh next academic year.
Experience
In 2015 I was awarded a perfect IB diploma score of 45, comprising 7s for all my core subjects and an A for Theory of Knowledge. I love to help other IB students achieve their highest possible results and I am well-positioned to do so, armed with my recent IB experience, expertise in History (HL/SL), English (HL/SL), Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge, and my three years of experience in tutoring for the IB. I also have several years of experience tutoring students at university level in history and politics, and have tutored younger students in more fundamental reading and writing skills, especially in preparation for scholarship exams and exams for entrance into selective schools. I will be able to provide individual, constructive advice and detailed proof-reading beyond what your classroom teacher has time to provide. My experience has showed me that high results are within the reach of everystudent, as long as they are willing to work hard and commit to improvement. I aim to draw out the this potential in each student. Other relevant academic qualifications include IB awards for History HL, English Literature HL, Biology SL, Mathematical Studies SL and French Ab Intio SL; a Kwong Lee Dow scholarship for academic performance and leadership potential from the University of Melbourne; a Chancellor's scholarship for academic achievement from the University of Melbourne; and selection as a state finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship last year.
