I am currently a third year University student studying accounting. I am spending this current semester on exchange at the University of Melbourne. At home, I attend an elite liberal arts institution in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, called College of the Holy Cross, where I have maintained at 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I graduated from Kennett High School in North Conway, New Hampshire USA with a GPA of 4.10 and a ranking of 12th out of 212 students. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the University of Melbourne, gaining a global perspective in my classes and assimilating into the Australian culture while living on campus as Newman College.
Experience
I have spent two years tutoring 5th graders in all subjects from reading, to Spanish, to math and science. I love working with children and watching their improvement! While I have not had any experience tutoring high school students just yet, I would love the opportunity to do so, especially while living in Australia and getting to know the lifestyle and culture. I strongly believe that student tutors are extremely beneficial, as they can become great role models as children and students of all ages begin to develop academic goals. I have completed Calculus I and Calculus II as well as Statistics and a variety of Accounting classes through Intermediate Accounting II, and therefore am very proficient in math. However, I have always been passionate about reading and writing, and as a liberal arts student, have taken a variety of classes in these subjects as well in order to develop my academic writing skills. I love the idea of helping students with their College/University applications and essays, as I was very proud of my own (they aided in my acceptance to a wide variety of institutions, including the University of Melbourne!). Generally speaking, I love meeting new people and I believe tutoring would be a great way to do so while making a difference in the local community!

Hobbies
I have been dancing since the age of three and love every second of it! I am from a small town in the mountains of New Hampshire, so I love to ski in the winter as well as kayak and hike in the summer. I also love to play field hockey, and I enjoy jogging outside on sunny mornings. I love the ocean and spending time anywhere outdoors. Since arriving in Australia in July, I have become passionate about traveling and I cannot wait to explore as many parts of the world as I can.
