Education

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Melbourne in 2004, Australia; Master degree in Mathematics from Zhengzhou University in 1989, China; Bachelor degree in Mathematics from Hunan Normal University in 1984, China.

Experience

Currently, I am working as a Tutor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Melbourne. I have been working as a private Tutor in Mathematics since 1997. Up to now, majority of mathematics subjects from primary school to year 2 at university level I have taught. After receiving my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from the University of Melbourne in 2004, I have worked as a Research Fellow or Lecture for seven years in several universities in Australia. After receiving my Master degree in Mathematics from Zhengzhou University in China, I have nine year lecturing experience in Mathematics in two universities respectively, both in China, where I taught the subjects “Economics Mathematics”, “Mathematical Modelling”, “Advanced Mathematics” and “Operation Research”. After receiving my Bachelor degree in Mathematics and before my Master degree study, I have been a Mathematics teacher in a high school in China for two years. After coming to Australia in 1997 and before my Ph.D. study, I have been a Tutor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Western Australia for three semesters, where I was responsible for the consultation and marking for the subjects “Linear Algebra” and “Advanced Mathematics”. I really enjoy to work with various students who may have quite different background. No words could express my happiness when my students told me that they could enjoy mathematics more when they studied with me in Mathematics more!
