I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with honors from the National University of Singapore. I also have a postgraduate diploma in education, specifically English language, and literature from the National Institute of Education. I am currently enrolled to earn my Master of Education at the University of Melbourne, Graduate School of Education.
Experience
I have been a full-time teacher for 15 years, and my last designation is that of a senior teacher. As a senior teacher, I mentor beginning teachers and conduct professional development workshops on top of my teaching load. I am not currently teaching in a school, but I am looking forward to tutoring. I have more than 15 years of experience teaching English (writing, reading, and speaking) and English literature. I am also experienced in teaching theory of knowledge, philosophy, and epistemology. I use various teaching strategies and resources that will be customized according to learners' needs. I believe in teaching skills that will help students be exam-ready without sacrificing the enjoyment of learning. I believe in nurturing questioning and curious learners and helping them achieve their fullest potential.
