Experience

I have taken a wide range of courses in my first degree (Bachelor of Arts). During my Bachelor of Arts the courses and subjects that I have received High Distinctions towards are as follows: History: Indigenous History of Australia, History of Art (Pre-Modern, Modern and Contemporary). Film Studies: Hollywood, Film Noir, The Avant-Garde and Experimental Cinema, Film Theory, Queer Theory and Feminist Theory, Post-War European Cinema. Politics: Ethics of War and Peace, Comparative Politics. Geography: Globalisation Studies. Italian: Language (Second Year Uni Level), Italian Culture and History. French: Language (Third Year Uni Level), French Culture and History, French Film Studies. Spanish: Language (First Year Uni Level). English: Modernist Texts, Creative Critical Writing, 1960s Literature and Subcultures. I am currently at the Victorian College of the Arts studying Sculpture and Spatial Practice with an Art History Component, with straight High Distinction grades. My most rewarding learning experience was going on exchange to McGill University, Montreal where I studied high level English and French classes. I had amazing teachers who taught me a lot about critical thinking and balancing the demands of study and life. After many years at University I have gathered a lot of information and am now at a level of being passionate working towards post-graduate study in the field of and Art History to become a University Professor. I am interested in tutoring so I can assist students and teach skills I have learnt so far to enhance their experience at university and explore my passion for teaching.

Hobbies

My main interest is creating art and being involved in the creative community at VCA and going to exhibitions at my School and around Melbourne. I enjoy making sculpture as well as painting, photography and a bit of film. I also really enjoy reading and writing critical texts at University and outside of University too. In my spare time I love watching films with friends, especially comedy! I used to run an underground film club that commenced in Montreal which I'm planning to start up again over the summer in Melbourne. I love travelling and learning about cultures and languages and have travelled quite a bit, mainly in Europe and North America and a tiny bit of Asia and Africa. My favourite destination was definitely Morocco! I would love to go travelling soon but plan to stay in Melbourne for quite a while to focus on finishing my second Undergrad then onto my Postgrad to obtain my teaching qualifications.
