Private tutor in Melbourne, Australia

Education

I am currently finishing my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Systems at the University of Melbourne. I have obtained H1 (HD's) for more than half of the university subjects that I took. I scored 97.75 on the ATAR.

Experience

I am experienced in teaching VCE math and physics subjects. I tutor high school math, chemistry, and calculus. I look forward to helping high school or college students with the Chinese language and the Japanese language, from intro or beginner level to intermediate level. I won high distinction in the Australian Mathematics Competition 3 times in 3 years. I have won the 3rd prize in CLTAV 2012 First Language Reading and Speaking Competition, which is a highly competitive and remarkable Chinese proficiency competition in Victoria. I participated in the 45th Japanese Language Speech Contest - Victorian State Final in 2014. I can help with anything from homework to test prep in multiple subjects.

Hobbies

I love cooking, music, reading books, playing sports. I am a 100% 'EZbreezy'-going tutor with persistent passion. I like to spend 10 or 20 minutes to talk with my students after we finish the session, to get an idea of how they are getting with the subjects at their own school. Being able to give not only feedback on the students' current studies but also some useful pieces of advice to their future studies is the quality that I find the most important and responsible for as a good tutor. For year 12 students to note, I hold a GIANT number of exercise booklets, VCE past exams and mold exams paper with solutions aiding the practical exercise along with my curriculum free of extra charge. I will teach my students pathways to understand and hence tackle difficult questions, tips for sitting an exam and general approaches to get a satisfactory ATAR results that a school teacher would not necessarily tell.
