I completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Italian and Linguistics with a Diploma in Languages with a focus on Japanese at the University of Melbourne. I graduated with a First-Class Honours High Distinction average across my majors. Master of Secondary Teaching - ACU.
Experience
I am a registered teacher and VCAA Italian Examiner for the Oral and Written exam. I teach grades 7 to 12. I also teach Japanese and have lived in Japan for three years. I have over six years of tutoring experience. While I pursued my bachelor's degree, I spent a year in Tokyo, where I studied at Waseda University. I enjoy teaching because it allows me to unlock potential and confidence in students. I tutor VCE Japanese, Italian, and English Language. I try to make lessons as fun as possible to increase engagement and retention of ideas. I am willing to work from textbooks, using worksheets, and can bring my own resources if they are needed. My lessons are structured in a flexible way to accommodate my student's needs. In language, we can focus on conversation, reading, writing, or listening practice. For VCE English Language, we can brainstorm essay topics, as well as build the technical metalanguage and analysis skills that students have to learn.
