I have a bachelor's degree in biomedicine that I earned with honors from the University of Melbourne. There, I researched pediatrics. I attended Monash University to earn my bachelor's degree in physiology and developmental biology with high distinction. At the University of Melbourne, I earned a bachelor's degree in science and a diploma of languages in French. I also completed the International Baccalaureate and scored 99.35 on the ATAR.
Experience
I can tutor French at all levels, Mandarin at the beginner and intermediate levels, physiology, and chemistry. I have studied French almost my entire life, and I have spent time living and working in Paris, where I perfected my languages skills. I also worked in a professional capacity in France, so my skills are top-notch. In Paris, I would tutor French locals in English and help my international friends learn how to speak, read, and write in French. After all tutoring sessions, I send my students personalized typed notes covering material specific to the lesson. I was not too fond of chemistry in high school, yet I still managed to achieve great results in IB HL Chemistry - all thanks to my wonderful tutor. Since then, I have achieved fantastic results in university chemistry, and I know the confidence that a great tutor can bring to a student. Take it from someone who struggled with the subject from the beginning - great results ARE achievable; you just have to work with someone that understands you. I can tutor first-year university Mandarin Chinese and high school intermediate Chinese. I love teaching junior and middle school students math. Being the person to work through it with you until it clicks is something I would be happy to do. I tutor all ages. My English students in France were generally adults, but I also worked as an au pair, teaching English to a 6 and 8-year-old.
