Education
In 2013, I completed a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Immunology and Microbiology before going on to complete a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree specializing in Virology, both from Monash University. I am currently completing a Master of Teaching degree (Secondary) at the University of Melbourne.
Experience
In my teaching placements, I was assessed as an outstanding teacher (High distinction) by my mentor teachers and certified as "Ready to Teach". I achieved high distinction in both my learning areas of Biology and Science and gained Maths as an additional learning area through the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. I am very familiar with the new study design introduced this year in 2016 for Biology Unit 1 and 2 and can assist your student with understanding the new coursework. As a tutor, l am always actively engaged in reflection when planning and analyzing my lessons and consistently scaffold your student in understanding new concepts. Moreover, I will develop individual learning plans which integrate a range of teaching strategies, activities, resources, and materials to cater to your student's specific learning needs and support the content. My teaching style is to consistently make effective use of questioning to establish their understanding, identify misconceptions, and create materials that check for your student's understanding of the curriculum.
