Bachelor's degree from Whitman University in the USA, a liberal arts school. I majored in Studio Art and minored in Chinese Language, as well as taking classes across many disciplines. I Graduated with distinction in my department and Cum Laude latin honors.

Experience

I have a TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), and a year of experience teaching English at a foreign language school in Kunming, China. I have worked with students of all ages and language levels. I have extensive experience working with children, and I excelled at a previous job as an art director and teacher. I really enjoy teaching and I believe that conversational skills are the most important aspect of learning a new language. I am a very patient and understanding tutor and I am flexible to meet students needs. Originally from California, I am a native English speaker and I also speak some Mandarin Chinese.
